For most Year 6 pupils the step up to secondary school is their biggest challenge this year, but one young girl from South Buckinghamshire has been too busy taking on the world.
Ella Owens, who will join Beaconsfield High School from September, has been dancing with delight after scooping the third place prize at World Irish Dancing Championships held in Montreal, Canada.
The youngster is a keen dancer who was attending classes at a village dance school in Farnham Common, before taking on the world over the Easter weekend.
As well as a personal success, Ella was part of a great team triumph with the group returning to the UK last week with four globes, one cup, 10 solo world medals, six solo recall medals and 24 team world medals.
