1:30pm Saturday 18th February 2012 in Beaconsfield By Lawrence Dunhill
A ROYAL Marine is in training for a non-stop run along the length of the Chiltern Way - aiming to complete all 134 miles in under 40 hours.
Will Richardson, who lives in Beaconsfield, is aiming to raise £1,000 for the Afghan Heroes charity.
The 23-year-old says he could be the first to run the route non-stop, starting out from the Red Lion pub in Coleshill.
He said two men have previously run the path in four days, though this included loop extensions of an extra 40 miles.
Originally from Lincolnshire, Will is currently taking a language course at the Defence School of Languages at Wilton Park. He serves with the 40 Commando Royal Marines.
The attempt is set to start on Friday, March 2. Fellow Marines have agreed to put in check points along the route, and he would appreciate any public support.
