Council accepts plan for nine new homes Council accepts plan for nine new homes

PLANS to build nine new homes in a historic part of Beaconsfield have been given the green light – despite objections from residents and the town council.

Developer Neil Cottrell has won permission to build the homes on an overgrown garden area behind Windsor End – next to the Masonic Lodge. See related links for full plans.

His latest proposal was accepted by South Bucks District Council’s planning committee – though councillors demanded several conditions including an agreement over affordable housing.

Beaconsfield Town Council had raised concerns that the proposed access to the site was already busy and could pose dangers to pedestrians.

A previous application had been refused, though this decision has been appealed.
