A SINGER from Wooburn Green is due to perform in the last semi-final of national talent competition, Britain’s Got Talent.

The 32-year-old, who performs as part of four-man group the Jack Pack, resigned from his job a few months ago to follow his singing dream and now he is just one step away from the national final.

Andrew Bourn from Boundary Road, Wooburn Green, has told the Bucks Free Press the group are “excited and nervous” about their upcoming live performance.

He said: “We have all worked really hard for this moment, so yes we are excited and nervous about performing on Saturday.

“It is going to be the first time we have performed in front of Simon Cowell so that adds to the nerves.

“We didn’t perform in front of him at the audition stage; it was just the three judges. We briefly met him in the last round when the judges told us if we were through, but that was literally just a couple of minutes, as was shown on TV.

“It will be really interesting to hear what he has to say about us, he is a very influential man in the music industry, definitely very experienced, we would love to have him on our side.”

The group wowed judges in their first audition with their own take on Frank Sinatra’s hit, ‘That's Life’.

Speaking after their performance, Amanda Holden said: "We don't have anything like this. We've got Michael Buble but we need something for Britain."

Fellow judge Alesha Dixon added: "I just love you guys - it's just perfection."

Andrew who lives in Bucks with his wife Zoe and two young children, Freya and Huey, said that Britain’s Got Talent has been a fun experience.

He said: “It can be very nervous whilst you are waiting in the wings, you get yourself prepared mentally and then all of a sudden you can hear a buzz on an act you were thinking sounded alright and that brings the fear back.

“BGT is an amazing platform, we love the show, the whole British theme of the show is also something I like, I am very patriotic, and with our style of music we chose Britain’s Got Talent because we felt it was better suited to us.”

You can follow the group’s performance on Saturday, May 31, from 7pm.
