A CHARITY is calling out to people who have suffered a brain injury – saying it could help improve their social and cognitive skills.

Headway South Bucks runs sessions at Bourne End Community Centre every Tuesday and Thursday, providing a place to meet and play specially designed games.

It was set up 17 years ago and currently has 23 clients, ranging from stroke sufferers to victims of a physical assault or traffic accidents.

Coordinator Jenny Sexton said: "I’m sure there are lots more people that don’t know we are here. I want to put the word out that we can help people. There’s a small fee but it’s heavily subsidized."

The group also aims to give much needed support and respite to relatives and carers, with various outings taking place throughout the year for clients and carers.

Telephone support and some home visits are also offered. For more information email: coordinator@headwaysouthbucks.org
