A man has been hospitalised with serious facial injuries after being pushed to the ground and repeatedly kicked until he was left unconscious in Chesham this morning.

The attack is believed to have taken place at about 2am today in Station Road, police said.

Officers added they believe the victim, 42, was assaulted by two men and it followed an altercation from earlier in the evening.

After the men attacked the victim they ran down Station Road and onto The Backs.

The offenders were both Asian males, one was of a large muscular build, wearing a grey long-sleeved top. The other male was slimmer and wearing dark clothing.

Det Sgt David Percival from Wycombe Force CID said: “We have spoken to a number of people in relation to this incident but if you think you have any information that could help, please get in contact.

“We think there would have been a lot of people around in the area as the local pubs closed up so people might have seen two men running away from this scene.”

Police originally believed the victim was attacked outside The George pub, but it has now been confirmed it was in Station Road.

Police are now appealing for witnesses. If you have any information, please contact officers on 101.
