Drugs will be harder to come by in Chesham, say police, after a dealer was jailed for three years for supplying Class A substances on playing fields in the town.

Hayder Ali Hussain, 22,  of Great Hivings, Chesham, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and supply of Class A drugs at Aylesbury Crown Court on December 1. He was sentenced on the same day.

Hussain was arrested on September 17 when he was seen by police officers to deal drugs to another man in Captains Wood playing field in Chesham.

Hussain was sentenced to three years in prison and ordered to forfeit £700 in cash to a drug addiction charity.

Sarfraz Hussain was also convicted of offences of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and will be sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court on December 12.

PC Hannah Broughton, officer in the case, said: “Hayder Ali Hussain admitted his involvement in these offences at the earliest opportunity and the length of his sentence indicates this.

“I am satisfied that his punishment is a reflection on the severity of the offences committed, and will have a significant impact on drug availability and associated crimes within the Chesham area.”
