WORKERS could be glowing neon in their offices if they support guide dogs this month.

Guide Dogs in Buckinghamshire is calling on people to stand out with what they wear as part of a fundraising and awareness drive.

For Guide Dogs Week, running this week until October 13, anyone wishing to help is asked to dress in neon at a dress down day at work or with friends, wearing bright colours or by holding a let’s glow 1980s style party, and donning fluorescent clothing.

Mobility Team Manager, Jonathan Mudd, said: "We want people to stand out for Guide Dogs Week and embrace the high-visibility theme.

"Every hour, another person in the UK goes blind - by helping us for just one hour with a quick fundraiser, together we can make sure that those with sight loss are able to go where they want, when they want and get back home safely again - a gift for life."

A cash collection will take place by High Wycombe volunteers at Morrison’s on October 11 and 12.
