AN out-of-control car ploughed into a hairdressing salon causing a trail of destruction.
The red Renault Clio smashed through the window of Brox Hairdressing, in Packhorse Road, Gerrards Cross at around 9pm on August 23.
Manageress of Brox Hairdressing Karen Best said: "I got a call around 9.30pm to say that a car had gone through the window. We spent all night trying to put it back together. We started around ten o'clock and by the time we had finished it was about 2.30 in the morning.
"It's all boarded up at the moment and we just managed to open on Friday. We had to borrow a very small desk for a girl to use for reception. Most of our products were ruined as well as a leather sofa. There were car skid marks all the way through.
"The salon closed at 8pm and so we were lucky. It could have been devastating as you can imagine.
"The person who did it apologised the next day," Mrs Best added.
Police have confirmed that it was not an attempted robbery or ram raid.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested at the scene for excess alcohol.
