THE HUSBAND of a woman killed in a car crash on the M40 last month has paid tribute to "a beautiful wife and mother".

Helen Jeanette Kelly, 39, from Oxfordshire, died from severe head injuries that she received in an accident involving an articulated lorry, five cars and a heavy goods vehicle.

The accident happened at around 6.50am on November 29 between junctions 1a and 2 of the M40.

Don Kelly, Helen's husband, said: "Helen was a beautiful wife and mother to our two young sons, Daniel, aged 6, and Luke, aged 4. This tragedy has shattered our lives and left us in utter despair.

"We had hopes and dreams for the future like everybody, and the pain and anguish of her senseless death will take a long time to come to terms with and even longer to heal.

"Any death is sad, but for one so young with so much to live for it was especially heartbreaking. The effect of this event will cast a shadow over myself and my sons for the rest of our lives.

"Helen was and always will be loved and remembered by our family and friends."
