Sports day at Adams Park

A DAY of sports is to be held in Adams Park with the aim of bringing High Wycombe's community closer together.

The event, which is called the Wycombe One Community Cup, is to take place on May 22.

A police football team will challenge two community teams to a match.

Other events include a football and cricket tournament for young children which will be held at 1pm, and a football match between staff from Wycombe Wanderers and Reading football clubs at 4pm.

Steve Hayes, Managing Director of Wycombe Wanderers said: "The Community Cup last year was a great success with over 200 people attending. We would love to get more people along this year."

There is no admission charge for the event.

So will one community team be muslim and the other afro- carribean?

Can white blokes actually get involved in this, or do we have to join the police first?

I'll take facts based on knowledge over opinions based on conjecture any day.

My son is 14 and he'll be playing in the 4pm match between the staff of Wycombe Wanderers against the staff of Reading. Last I knew he didn't have a job and was still at school.
