FAST food giant McDonald's has pledged to play an active role in keeping the streets of Cressex free from litter.
Sponsored litter bins, patrols and educational projects with nearby schools are on the menu of the day after representatives met with residents last week.
In March the Free Press told how homeowners formed Alford Road Action Group (ARAG) with a view to lobbying the Holmers Way restaurant.
Steve Hodges, founding member, said: "McDonald's head office, the franchisee Martin Palumbo and general manager Nafisah Graham-Brown have driven the issue of litter to the forefront where all interested parties, including Asda and Wycombe District Council are communicating. The local area, due to everyone's efforts, is now a lot cleaner."
A spokesman for McDonald's said: "The district council have agreed to install extra bins sponsored by McDonald's. Staff have also vowed to conduct weekly litter patrols in neighbouring roads and around Asda car park.
"The meetings with Steve Hodges and the other residents enabled us to listen to the needs of the community.
"We shall also be holding a community environmental day on May 29. I am pleased that the group are happy with McDonald's actions."
