THE whole community will be involved in a village fete and picnic this weekend.
Businesses and residents will meet together in Flackwell Heath on Sunday, July 13, for an ‘old fashioned event’ jointly organised by the Flackwell Heath Residents Association and Community Association.
Organisers say there will be lots of entertainment throughout the day including sports activities, games and music.
Some refreshments will be available but organisers have asked people come along with their own hamper and a blanket.
FHRA Chairman Janet Smith said: “We have lots of things going on during the day which all involve groups from the community.
“We felt the picnic was fairly popular last year and we just want to do something people will enjoy.
“Hopefully the weather will be good for us on the day and the event will be a success.”
The event will be held on the Recreation Ground, in Straight Bit. It will run from 12pm until 4pm.
