AERIAL photographs of the ongoing construction of the new Wycombe Sports Centre have been released by a council.

The basement walls of the 50m swimming pool can be seen in aerial snaps released by Wycombe District Council today.

Other photos show the delivery of the steel beams which will make up the structural framework of the multi-million-pound complex, as well as on-going site levelling work.

Construction began on the Handy Cross site in March, with WDC hoping to open the doors to the leisure centre by autumn 2015.

It will be the centre-piece of the Handy Cross Hub, which also eventually include a coachway park-and-ride, a hotel, offices and a Waitrose supermarket.
