RESIDENTS in the South Bucks District will be served by 12 fewer councillors following the election in May.
Changes to the ward boundaries across the district will come into force following the vote on May 7.
The number of wards is due to decrease from 19 to 12 and the number of councillors representing the district will reduce from 40 to 28.
The decision was made after a 12-week public consultation looking at electoral reviews of local authority areas.
The Commission wanted to ensure every councillor in South Bucks represent roughly the same number of residents, according to a SBDC statement.
