School's tribute to tragic Bella

THE head of a Gerrards Cross school has paid tribute to a "very special girl" who died in an accident at her home.

Bella Pritchard died after a mantlepiece collapsed at her home in Burkes Road, Beaconsfield, on Saturday July 7.

The six-year-old was a pupil at Maltman's Green School, which has been in mourning since hearing the news of Bella's tragic death.

Joanna Pardon, headmistress at the school, said: "Everyone at Maltman's Green School was in shock over the last few days of term after hearing the news of Bella's tragic death.

"She was a very special girl with an infectious love of life. She will be remembered for her wonderful smile, her laughter and her deeply caring gentle nature.

"She was much loved by everyone who knew here.

"Our priority had been to support her family, not least by doing our best to support their need for privacy."

Police are investigating the cirumstances of Bella's death, but it is not being treated as suspicious.
