CCTV images of a man wanted in connection with a burglary in Hazlemere have been released by police.

At about 5.18am on Monday, a man broke into the Co-operative store in Park Parade through its roof.

He disturbed staff at the store and filled a bag with cigarettes from its kiosk.

The man, who appeared to have a crow bar, left through a side door and entered an enclosed garden.

Police said the man threatened a member of staff while he was in the garden and then climbed over a fence, walking away up The Link at about 5.25am.

No one was hurt during the burglary, but a large amount of cigarettes were stolen.

The man depicted in the CCTV is white, approximately 5ft 8ins to 6ft, has a brown beard and is of medium build.

He is shown wearing a black trousers, white trainers, a light-coloured anorak with a hood and a balaclava with gloves.

Designated investigator Sandra Faux, from High Wycombe Local CID, said: “If you recognise the person shown in the CCTV images or have any information about the incident please speak to police.”
