WYCOMBE High School celebrated another good year with their headteacher claiming the results fly in the face of expectations.

One hundred per cent of their students achieved A* to E grades across the board with 91.6 per cent finishing with grades between A* and B.

Sharon Cromie said: “I am delighted that the GCSE results at Wycombe High School are once again excellent.

“GCSE students this year have faced unprecedented pressure and conflicting, and all too often negative, press coverage about the volatility and downward trend in GCSE results.

“Our results fly in the face of this expectation and have remained excellent. 13 girls have achieved straight A*s and 60 girls achieved straight A* / As.

“All of our students have worked incredibly hard; and of course parents deserve a big thank you for their support and guidance. Well done girls.”
