TRIBUTES have been paid to an 18-year-old motorcyclist who died in a car collision yesterday.

Lloyd Mitchell, from Bowerdean Road, High Wycombe, was riding a motorbike when he was in a collision with a beige Toyota estate car at about 11.45am on Wednesday, September 10.

The emergency services were called to the scene at the junction of Chestnut Avenue and Bassetsbury Lane, but sadly Lloyd died at the scene.

The teenager was named earlier today as hundreds of tributes poured in for him on social media.

On Facebook, Rebeckah Barlow, said: “It's so hard knowing your not going to be around anymore, seeing that smile on your face and all our chats we used to have, iv lost a really good friend, I miss you.”

Another Facebook friend, Ryan Bowring, said: “R.I.P Lloyd can't believe I'm saying this was only the other day I was talking to you taken to soon thoughts are with your family rip bro.”

On Twitter, @maddie_rose11 said: “RIP Lloyd May you rest in peace such a lovely boy always nice very cheeky won't be the same sleep tight buddy.”

Flowers have also been placed near to the accident and close friends have held a vigil on the Rye today.

Sgt Sharon Scarffe, from the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing, said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicles travelling prior to the collision to speak to officers.

“If you have any information which could assist the investigation, please call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.”
