AT least one other High Wycombe resident has fled the country to join the Islamic State militants, the Free Press can reveal.
The BFP understands an 18-year-old from the town has travelled overseas to join the ISIS extremist group.
It comes just weeks after Wycombe was rocked by the revelations that Omar Hussain – who referred to himself at Awlaki during a hate-filled interview with Newsnight – was unmasked by the Free Press.
The former Morrison’s security guard laughed about beheading enemies and said he would only return to the UK to wage war. The 27-year-old called his Wycombe family from abroad to tell them ‘see you in Jannah (heaven)’.
Wycombe’s Muslim community condemned ISIS and the comments made by Hussain, as they vowed to work even harder to educate youngsters and keep them out of the clutches of extremists.
Politicians and police have urged the community to stand united.
