POLICE have released a description of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a suspected arson this morning.
Police and fire crews were called to a white Ford Transit van at 2am this morning which was on fire in Rutland Avenue in Castlefield.
Officers would like to speak to an Asian man, who is approximately 5ft 8ins and of slim build, who was wearing gloves and seen running from Rutland Avenue into Booker Lane shortly before.
An area search was carried out by police but no one was located.
Det Sgt Carl Wilson, from High Wycombe Local Area CID, said: “I am appealing for anyone who saw a person acting suspiciously in the area at the time of the offence or anyone matching the description of a man seen running away from the area to speak to police.
“The area is patrolled regularly and anyone with any concerns should approach and speak to an officer.”
