A man from High Wycombe has paid out £835 after being taken to court for dumping bags of rubbish on a street which already had waste items illegally left there.
Tariq Zaman, 53, of Longland Way, High Wycombe, pleaded guilty on January 14 at Wycombe Magistrates Court to illegally dumping household waste.
The court heard that in July 2014, he drove past a pile of white goods and bin bags that had been fly-tipped close to his home. Aware that he had two bags of his household rubbish in the boot of his car, he stopped and added them to the pile of illegally dumped waste.
Mr Zaman late admitted the offence and expressed regret over his actions.
Magistrates fined Mr Zaman £350 and ordered him to pay clean-up and prosecution costs of £450. A victim surcharge of £35 was also levied.
The case was prosecuted by Buckinghamshire County Council working on behalf of the Waste Partnership for Buckinghamshire.
