A High Wycombe eye care store held a day of fun activities in aid of Red Nose Day last Friday.

The team from Specsavers raised £105.55 by offering homemade treats at an in-store bake sale and hosting a ‘make your face funny for money’ colouring competition in return for a donation to the Red Nose Day appeal.

Heena Thaker, store director at the White Hart Street store, said: “As expected, the High Wycombe community turned out in force to show their support for this important cause.

“We have already broken the three figure fundraising mark and we will continue to collect donations in store in the run up to Red Nose Day itself.

“Thank you to everyone who has given so generously to the appeal, and if you’re in the area and want to show your support, then just pop by the store before March 13.”

Visitors to Specsavers in High Wycombe can also get into the spirit of Red Nose Day and make their faces funny for money with Specsavers’ official Red Nose Day glasses, in sizes large and small, for £3, with £1 donated to Comic Relief.
