Police have charged a man following a suspected stabbing in Terriers, High Wycombe.
Police originally released the name of another male as the person charged in connection with the stabbing.
However, Thames Valley has now confirmed that Graham Vickers, of Wellesbourne Gardens, is the person charged.
The 47-year-old was charged under section 18 GBH (wounding/ causing grievous bodily harm with intent), after an incident which police have now confirmed they are treating as a suspected stabbing.
Forensic investigators were seen in Wellesbourne Gardens yesterday, after a woman was allegedly assaulted outside her home – with police unable to confirm the details at the time.
Today, police said they were treating the incident as an alleged “stabbing with a sharp implement”.
Soon after police were called at 12.40pm, two adjacent properties were cordoned off in Wellesbourne Gardens.
Residents have since spoken of their shock at what was believed to have happened.
