Food lovers followed their noses to a High Wycombe street party on Saturday as a group of independent businesses clubbed together to give residents a taste of the town.

Three well-known businesses joined forces on Saturday afternoon to serve up a treat for the many visiting people, with BBQ meat, spicy curries, burgers and cocktails all on the menu.

Held in Pauls Row, just off the High Steet, HWBIDCo – a not-for-profit company, paid-for, and run by businesses in High Wycombe – invited Noodle Nation, Bluegrass BBQ and The Snug to open their doors to shoppers and tourists.

The event appeared to go down well, with other businesses including The Swan Theatre and Ruby Moon also getting involved.

The event was also supported by Bucks New University who held an undergraduate open day for prospective students and their families on the same afternoon.

Organisers said the Pauls Row Street Party event was a good example of the opportunities for business people to work with HWBIDCo, and tap into the expertise of the BID team whilst concentrating on running their own businesses and promoting their individual offers.

The BID team organised, and paid for, all of the logistics of the event that include the road closures, licensing, security and event safety plans.
