A MAN sustained a fractured skull after he was punched in the head in a Downley pub.
The 21-year-old victim - who is believed to be a barman - was punched by a drinker in the Downley Donkey at about 11.30pm on Sunday.
He was taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital where he remains in a stable condition. Police say it was an unprovoked attacked.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward and would particularly like to speak to two women who were in the pub at about the same time of the attack.
Contact police on the 101 enquiry line or the Crimestoppers charity, anonymously, by calling 0800 555 111 with any information.
