THE man who died after being hit by a train near High Wycombe on Saturday has been named.

David Steele, 51, died from multiple injuries after he was hit by the 6.15am service from Birmingham Moor Street to Marylebone at about 8am.

An inquest into the High Wycombe man’s death has been open and adjourned by the Buckinghamshire Coroner.

The incident caused delays to Chiltern Railways’ services, as part of the London-bound track was closed while the emergency services attended the scene.
