A THRIVING Marlow employer took on a record number of new recruits this week as it starts its new financial year.

Softcat, which has its headquarters on Fieldhouse Lane, welcomed 48 new starters, most of them graduates, to begin careers in sales, administration and technical roles.

During August Softcat also took in school and college leavers on to its apprenticeship scheme, and has announced plans for a new office in Leeds.

Managing director Colin Brown said: I’m delighted to see so many people join the Softcat team.

“Our ability to recruit enthusiastic and talented people while maintaining our core values is so important – it’s the way we’ve grown the business and will continue to grow it. I wish all of our new starters every success in their new careers.”

Of the new starters, 20 will be based at the company’s longest established office in Marlow, with the rest working at Bristol, London and Manchester.

Sofcat was recently named as the second best workplace in the UK according to the Great Places to Work rankings.
