A PILGRIM’S progress will see an outgoing bishop reach Marlow tomorrow as part of his 104-mile trek to mark the end of his tenure.
The Right Reverend John Pritchard, Bishop of Oxford, is taking the mammoth ten-day pilgrimage along the Thames as his seven-year ministry at the helm of the Diocese of Oxford comes to a close.
And the religious rambler will stop off for tea, cakes and a short service at All Saints Church in Marlow when his walk along the Thames Path brings him to town.
The parish church also welcomes another visitor this week, with Revered Dave Bull welcoming South African priest Reggie Leeuw from All Saints’ link church in Galashewe.
Mr Leeuw will be visiting Marlow’s churches, schools and town beauty spots during his visit, as well as helping church leaders greet the bishop on his walk.
