‘LOVE Marlow’ is the message from church leaders as they unite to launch a widespread campaign to give residents and visitors to the town that warm, fuzzy feeling.

The initiative from Churches Together in Marlow aims to spread the love with a series of events and partnerships over the next 12 months.

The heart of the message is for the town to be a place where everyone loves their neighbours as they love themselves.

And church leaders hope it makes every resident feel cared for, everyone who works in Marlow feel valued and every visitor welcomed.

Revd Richard Becher, chairman of Churches Together in Marlow, said: "We are launching a campaign called ‘Love Marlow’ next year and hope other organisations will want to share in helping love the town and love each other.

"It is a vision to strengthen relationships across the whole community so that everyone can feel part of the town.

"It is something every school, business and organisation can take part in."

The first offer of help has come from the Compleat Angler Hotel, which presented Rev Becher with a sponsorship cheque of £500 towards staging a play as part of the initiative.

‘Amazing Grace’ was performed last week, and churches hope it will be one of many events promoted in partnership with the community during the next year.
