DEVELOPERS will get a second bite at the cherry over a project to demolish a Marlow office block and replace it with houses.

Nicholas King Homes failed to get permission to build six three bedroom houses on the site of Willowbank House, in Station Road, with Wycombe District Council rejecting the plans in August.

But an appeal has been made to the secretary of state over the plan, with a ruling likely to take place by the end of the year.

The original plans were thrown out after worries over losing an employment site, with some neighbours objecting to overdevelopment of the area.

However, other residents argued the building was an “eyesore” and should be pulled down to make way for houses.
