PHOTOGRAPHY enthusiasts can now put their hobby to good use after an outdoors centre hit by terrible flooding was selected for a charity drive by a huge American firm.

Longridge in Marlow - part of the Adventure Learning Foundation charity - will receive $1 US from Johnson and Johnson for every picture donated through the ‘Donate a Photo’ app, which can be downloaded to smartphones.

The cash will allow staff to restore buildings damaged in last winter’s floods and help weatherproof facilities for the future of Longridge and the young people it helps.

So far over 1000 photos have been donated and shared through the scheme, equating to $1032 towards starting the work.

Longridge was chosen for the project back in June, after workers from the High Wycombe office of the global pharmaceutical company spent a day by the Thames helping clean up after the floods.

You can donate photos to the Longridge Activity Centre until November 30 at www.donateaphoto.com/cause/longridge-activity-centre.
