LESS than a year since its first rehearsal, Marlow’s very own orchestra is embarking on two live performances this autumn.
Led by 29-year-old Marlovian Tom Horn, the ensemble has steadily grown in number from 18 to 30 and played its first show in Clayton’s pub in July.
And the enthusiastic conductor and orchestra founder is aiming to take the orchestra’s sound to a new audience.
He said: "we are trying to take orchestral music outside the concert hall and to the people.
"The buzz at our last concert was great and I hope we can create some more fantastic opportunities for us to play in the future. Come and have a listen!"
Marlow Orchestra will perform in the Assembly Rooms on November 20 during the Christmas lights switch on evening from 7.30pm and three days later as part of the Crowne Plaza Hotel’s Christmas market.
