A PRESTIGIOUS award-winning young musician is the special guest of a Marlow vocal group when it hosts a joint concert later this month.
Marlow Choral Society welcomes pianist Martin James Bartlett – winner of BBC Young Musician of the year 2014 – to a Mozart recital at Wycombe Swan on November 23.
The performance is held in conjunction with Princes Risborough Music Society, with the talented 18-year-old wowing crowds with a rendition of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 20 in D minor.
Conductor Chris Grant, musical director of both choirs, said: “This is going to be an extraordinary concert! The Mozart Requiem itself is sublime music which is justly famous.
“We shall be experiencing wonderful music by one of the greatest young composers of all time being played by an exceptionally talented young artist. This will certainly be an evening not to be missed.”
Tickets at £16 and £12 are available from the Wycombe Swan on 01494 512000 or www.wycombeswan.co.uk.
