A worker was stranded nearly 12 metres in the air on a cherry picker for four hours in the middle of the night until he was rescued by firefighters this morning.
Crews from Marlow were called at 5.53am to the Marlow International business park after the man had been stuck on the machine hours earlier while carrying out works in the foyer, with his colleague on the ground unable to help him down.
Crew commander Dave James said once firefighters were on the scene, they were able to recharge the battery for the vehicle and get the worker back to safety.
He said: “He was about ten to 12 metres in the air on a cherry picker. The electrical power to the transformer they were using was flat.
“He had been up there for about four hours they decided to call us. It was a very cold night but luckily he was inside so it wasn’t too bad.”
The rescued worker was not injured in the incident.
