Three Marlow guides are celebrating after achieving the highest accolade available in the organisation.
Megan Payne, 15, 14-year-old Suzy Garrett and Maria Rees,13 have all been given the Baden Powell Challenge award after undertaking a set of gruelling tasks.
The girls, all from Marlow, are members of the Second Marlow Bottom Guide unit.
Great Marlow pupil Megan, who started Brownies aged six and has now graduated to Rangers, said: “I have many happy and fun memories from Guides and have visited places and done activities i may not have had the opportunities to do otherwise.
“I would like to thank Kelly Clare our leader for always making Guides fun, carefree, interesting and a great place to be.”
The Baden Powell award is named after Lord Robert Baden-Powell, who started the Scouting movement in 1907 and Guides in 1910.
To complete the coveted award, Guides must complete 18 activities from a range of criteria including outdoors, service and guiding traditions.
