A passionate traveller and descendant of famous explorer David Livingstone is keeping up the family tradition as she celebrates the opening of her second travel agency.

Former British Airways cabin crew member and Marlow resident Gillian Luxon, who says she has travel in her blood, welcomed mayor Suzanne Brown to cut the ribbon on her Marlow High Street office on Friday.

The avid traveller, who already has an office in Henley, said: "I went all over the world, so I literally touched every corner of the world in that time.

"My roots are here, my mum and dad are still here, and I wanted to come back to Marlow, because apart from the fact that I love living in here, I have always wanted to open a business in Marlow.

"I obviously have got on to working in the travel business. Travel is in my blood."

Gillian’s 89-year-old father Livingstone Forsyth (pictured) was named after the Victorian explorer and missionary, who famously set out to hunt the source of the River Nile.
