Philanthropic Rotarians who took to the streets to support young carers in Buckinghamshire have praised Marlovians for digging deep for the cause.

The Rotary Club of Marlow shook their buckets on Marlow Bridge to raise money for young people forced to give up their time to look after family members with disabilities and mental health problems.

And volunteers raised £2300 during a day of collecting to provide extra support and give the dedicated youngsters some relief.

Rotarian Lance Slater said: "These youngsters do so much good work , but with so little praise and recognition, to benefit their families."

Rotasry president Brian Jonson thanked Marlovians for their support, with proceeds providing a much-needed annual day out and party for young carers on August 8.
