Oriental shop scoops Christmas prize

AN ORIENTAL themed shop has scooped top prize in this year's Marlow Christmas window dressing competition.

Mekong in Spittle Street, run by Tish McDonald and Adam Marlow, were judged by the independent panel to have created the most festive display.

Helen & Douglas House charity shop also in Spittal Street came second while third was shared by Steamer Trading in Market Square and La Cotonniere in High Street.

There were 20 entries in the contest, organised by Marlow Chamber of Trade and Commerce.

Chamber secretary Jo Braybrooke said: “Their window is just so attractive and they put a lot of effort into it but the others came very close.”
