SAINSBURY'S in Marlow has said sorry for a second time for disturbing residents' sleep with a power generator.
Earlier this month, the supermarket giant apologised after complaints from residents, irritated at night by a low humming sound which had been keeping some people awake since the West Street store opened at the end of November.
The problem was fixed and the generator no longer used but on Sunday night, January 29. the sound returned.
Sainsbury’s spokesman Michelle Dix said: “Due to an upgrade of the store’s transformer on Sunday night, we had to revert to the generator to maintain power.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank our neighbours for their patience whilst we resolved this issue and hope this will be the last time a generator is needed on site.”
