CHILTERN District Council's share of the council tax looks set to be frozen for the next financial year.
The authority's cabinet provisionally agreed not to increase tax levels for 2012-13 at its meeting on Tuesday.
The proposal is likely to be rubber stamped at a full meeting of the council on Tuesday February 21.
It means that the owners of a Band D property - considered to be the average - will pay £159.50 in council tax to the district next year.
Most parishes in the district have already confirmed their share of the council tax, with many either freezing the rate or having an increase of less than one per cent.
However in Latimer the average rate of council tax will increase from £16.56 to £19.46, although in Cholesbury it falls from an annual £22.92 to £19.64.
