A CHARITY walker has ventured into Walton as part of a 2,500 mile sponsored trek.
Stuart Jessup, a maths teacher from Cambridge, started walking in October last year, and is now taking in Walton as part of his route.
He is on the final leg of his fundraiser, having walked 2,400 miles so far.
Stuart suffers from chronic depression, and has been raising awareness and cash for mental health groups Anxiety UK and SANE.
He said: “I wanted to do something challenging to draw attention to mental health charities, and reduce the stigma around them.
“Walton was included in my route because it is on the coast and a lovely area to walk.
“It has been tough at times but I’m almost there now.”
He has already raised more than £10,000 for his chosen charities.
