I READ with alarm and annoyance the reporting of disabled spaces around the shops in Stourbridge.
I agree Dury Lane off Market Street is no place to put 'hub' for spaces for anyone who wants to shop in the High Street for instance.
The top of High Street disabled bays have been suspended for I presume the length of Tesco building project. So Dudley Council is helping disabled persons to shop where?
Not everyone can deal with the selection of shops along Market Street.
Abled bodied drivers are mobile enough to walk from other areas, Ryemarket multi storey, Birmingham Road to name but two car parks. Much is mentioned about loss of Bell St car park. Shoppers to the shops where the businesses stated ' not anti disabled had customers parking and walking so why not now?
If you want the distress, pain, frustration and discrimination of being disabled then I can assure you the non walking abled bodied you should try to be more aware of needs of others.
