A COUNCIL spokesman said the water level in Saunderton has been reduced, although they are currently unable to determine the source of the flooding.
Transport for Buckinghamshire has been working at the site in Wycombe Road at the junction with Slough Lane for a number of weeks now.
The area has been flooded since February 17 and traffic lights have been in place on the A4010.
Council workers has been pumping water from the site but levels rose again yesterday morning, leading residents to raise concerns that the main road may be closed.
Dan Elworthy, a spokesman for Transport for Bucks, said: "Until water levels subside, we are unable to determine the source of the flooding.
"In the meantime, TfB continue to manage the situation and as of yesterday (Monday) we have managed to reduce the water level.
"A static pump remains on site, and there are regular visits from tankers removing water. This took place throughout the night and will continue.
"Traffic lights remain on the A4010 to manage traffic in a safe manner whilst flood water remains on the carriageway."
