Residents are invited to remember their loved ones at a special remembrance ceremony this weekend.

The annual Tree of Light Dedication Ceremony will take place in Princes Risborough on Sunday, November 30.

The ceremony, organised by the Rotary Club of Princes Risborough, will begin at 4pm in the gardens next to the Tesco roundabout, on the corner of Duke Street and New Road.

The names of people who have already been nominated for the ceremony are displayed close to the Tree of Light and will be published in the Bucks Free Press.

Last year, the event raised over £5,000. This year, funds raised will be shared between Rennie Grove Hospice Care and Rotary charities.

James Tomkins, the vicar of St Dunstan’s Church in Monks Risborough, will lead the service and the mayor, Alan Turner and deputy mayor, Wally Woolf, will turn on the lights.

Dedication Forms are available from the Princes Risborough Information Centre and dedications can be made until the end of the year.
