Bucks County Council want to hear residents’ views on potential changes to the High Street and Duke Street in the town centre.

Transport for Bucks is proposing to implement a scheme that will include plans to remove the contra-flow cycle lane along the High Street and Duke Street between the junctions of A4010 Bell Street and A4010 New Road and remove the entrance of the cycle lane.

The informal crossing point on Duke Street near the New Road roundabout will also be relocated to the area of build-out on Duke Street.

More parking bays would be built from outside Moss Stitch to Fieldmouse Cheese Store and Deli.

Proposals have also been made to extend the bus cage and provide a new bus shelter outside George and Dragon.

Alterations would also be made to the junction of High Street and Bell Street and new tactile paving to assist visually impaired pedestrians will be added at various points along the road.

The funding for the scheme has been secured by Princes Risborough Town Council.

The plans for the scheme, including maps, can be viewed here.

A consultation is running until January 28 and residents can submit their views on the proposed works.

Feedback on the proposals must be sent in writing by January 28 to Charles Mapundu, Schemes Delivery Team, Transport for Buckinghamshire, Aylesbury Vale Area Office, Corrib Industrial Park, Griffin Lane, Aylesbury, Bucks, HP19 8BP.
