Thieves made off in a car belonging to the house in Princes Risborough they had just burgled, say police.
Between 9am and 10.20am yesterday, access was gained to a property in Eastfield Road via a rear patio door.
Thieves stole jewellery and cash, before swiping the keys to a white Volkswagen Scirocco parked in the driveway and using it to make their escape.
Anyone with information about this incident should contact investigating officer PC Dale Lester, of High Wycombe Local CID, via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.
