Scout group receives funding to fix windows
THREE leaky windows have been fixed at a scout hut following a £2,000 grant.
Whiteleaf Scout Group received a donation of £2000 from the Buckinghamshire Community Foundation (BCF) to replace leaking wooden roof windows at the Speen HQ.
Peter Keen, a trustee of the foundation, presented a cheque to the group at an event at Speen Woods. It has been funded from the Richard Houchin Fund at the Foundation.
BCF is an independent charity which is dedicated to promoting giving in the area.
Since January 2000 they have given more than £3million in grants in more than 1,500 community groups and projects.
It wants to hear from small community groups working to improve the quality of life within their town or village. Contact www.buckscf.org.uk or email ebanister@buckscf.org.uk or call 01296 330134.
