Risborough worker slams yellow line repainting as a waste of money

Risborough worker slams yellow line repainting as a waste of money Risborough worker slams yellow line repainting as a waste of money

A PRINCES Risborough hairdresser said she was left flabbergasted after a road worker came and painted a short section of double yellow lines but did not repair the pothole where they painted.

Nicola Hatfield from Slattery's hairdresser said she was pleased to see workmen arrive in Duke Street, as she thought they had come to repair the potholes in the road.

But to her surprise they simply painted a short section of double yellow lines on and left. Sections of the rest of the lines on the street have faded. The rain washed some of their work away.

Nicola said: "What a complete waste of money that could have been put towards fixing the pot hole that is filled yearly or putting a drain in to solve the problem."

Rosemary Bryant from Transport for Buckinghamshire said a utility company reinstated the lines that they had excavated through.

Utility companies are only obliged to reinstate the area they have opened up and they were informed that the white arrow still required repainting

Might have been nice if they's painted it in line with the remainder, and the same width!

It would've been an eyesore if the workmen hadn't painted the lines so beautifully.
