THE new sports facilities in Stokenchurch will be officially opened in April alongside the parish council's free fun day.
The Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) will provide up-to-date facilities for clubs and parishioners to use for sports.
It will be opened at 12pm on April 24 by teenagers Jamie Essex and Elliott Keeble who secured £50,000 from Buckinghamshire County Council's Youth Bank to build the sports area.
The opening at Longburrow playing field will be followed by Stokenchurch's Parish Council free fun day with bouncy castles, free BBQ, football matches and live music.
The council is still looking for funding for floodlights for the MUGA. If you think you can help call John Capell on 01494 482403.
